AED Defibrillator Re-Certification Training, Industry Approved Course

General Course Content Overview:

Below are just some of the topics covered on this course.

  • Chain of Survival (Adults, Children, Infants)

  • The 4 major life threats: Heart Attack, Stroke, Cardiac Arrest, Foreign Body Airway obstruction

  • A.E.D. (Automated External Defibrillator) use

  • Aspirin

 

This course meets the criteria of National Irish Standards.

 

Course Aims & Objectives:

On of this course candidates will be equipped with skills to

  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of a Cardiac Arrest, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction, Stoke and Heart Attack.

  • Competent in the operation of an AED, Adult, Child and Infant CPR as well as well as the First Aid treatment of Stroke and Heart Attack Patients.

  • This course includes the administration of Aspirin

  • CISM Critical Incident Stress Management

  • ACR’s & PCRs

 

Training Methods & Duration:

  • Both theoretical and practical learning is included in this course to ensure student. participation and feedback as part of developing strong knowledge of practical skills.

  • Educational DVDs will be used to facilitate course learning.

  • The course will last approximately 4 hours.

 

Who Should Attend:

Anyone who wants to learn how to how to operate an AED and how to provide effective CPR.

 

Assessment & Certification

Skills demonstration will form part of the course.

People who successfully pass the course will receive a Cardiac First Response Certificate with a validity of 2 years.

Irish Health & Safety Solutions partners with EMTS Training Solutions, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary  in delivering Cardiac First Response Courses, First Aid Responder Courses and First Aid Responder Re-fresher courses. 

On successful completion of your chosen course your certificate will be provide by EMTS Training Solutions who are an approved training institute under the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council.
